Foobar2000 parametric eq1/22/2024 ![]() To fix it I installed the Topping drivers and followed the instructions included in the setup documentation found on the official Topping website. I don’t have that many high-res audio files, so it took some time to notice it. It worked absolutely fine … until I noticed that I only got 16bit/48Khz output trough my USB connection to my Topping DX3 pro DAC/amp. I’ve been using Equalizer APO/Peace for some weeks now. If and when you choose to afford it, I think it's really great.Lenovo Ideapad 520 (USB 2.0 output/Windows10)įoobar2000 with foo_input_SACD component installed It has everything I "needed", like:ġ) automatically flipping into WASAPI connections for PC outputĢ) on-the-fly-transcoding for Google Cast to Chromecast CCA's (downsampling anything above 24/44.1 and 24/48 to 24/44.1 or 24/48)Ĥ) Integrating my own library of FLAC files and MP3's with my lossless streaming subscriptions (Qobuz, but also works with Tidal) and making them appear all as one giant library, with the ability to mix-and-match within Queue's and even build playlists that access files from both sources.Īnd it does things I didnt' even know I needed until I got Roon:Ī) Great metadata - active links for all kinds of info, right down to the Mastering Engineerī) Great artwork - cover art, inserts, background picturesĭ) "Custom EQ" settings from Audeze for Audeze headphonesĮ) Buffering Qobuz and Tidal ahead of playbackĪnd beyond all that, it's hard to explain and maybe put into words, but if you used to be a gamer as a kid the way I was, you might remember the magazine had a rating system that included a category called "Fun Factor." It's hard to define but you know it when you experience it? Roon makes playing music "fun" in a way that no other software I've tried does. But I think it does just about everything right. I held off on getting it for a long time. Subreddit's theme is /r/Minimaluminiumalism.
